The GDAI was founded in 1935 to represent the professional interests of the Association's members and to advance the visual communications field in Israel' while upholding artistic standards and safeguarding professional ethics.The association's manegement is elected by its members, and launches a variety of inutiatives for their benefits: providing guidance on how to price works, and organizing exhibits,competitions,member meetings and lectures. The Association is a member of Icograda, the International Council of Graphic Design Associations.
